De Twist, Veenendaal

This plan is being realized on behalf of Ingenious Vastgoed and is part of the Master Plan for Veenendaal Central Area East. The Master Plan provides for a canal structure with vertically articulated buildings. The project consists of 46 apartments situated above a commercial plinth, enveloping an existing retail building that forms part of a shopping arcade.

Focus on rhythm, articulation, and detail
The architecture is a modern interpretation of the traditional canal house, with great attention to rhythm, articulation, and detailing. The façades form a family, with each building featuring its own selection of brickwork, detailing, and distinctive elements. Large vertically articulated windows create a light, open brick architecture.
