Amsterdam University of the Arts, Reinwardt Academy

For the Reinwardt Academy, we have created an environment that naturally brings students and lecturers together. The building has been enriched with informal seating areas in the corridor zones, specifically designed to encourage meeting, collaboration, and learning.

Each seating area has its own theme, reflecting the identity of the academy as a cultural school. In this way, the Reinwardt Academy clearly conveys what it stands for through its interior design: a place where heritage, culture, and education come together.

The classrooms have also undergone a complete makeover, with interiors that match the academy’s creative and cultural character. This ensures that the learning spaces are more closely aligned with students’ practice and contribute to an inspiring educational experience.

The new design makes the school not only functional but also inspiring and distinctive. Students are invited to share ideas, collaborate, and connect with one another in an environment that enhances their creativity and engagement.

Through the combination of functionality, atmosphere, and thematic design, a dynamic learning environment has been created that makes the academy’s vision and values both visible and tangible.
