Harbour Park

300 apartments, approx. 6,000 m² of commercial space, and approx. 4,000 m² of parking.

The industrial harbor area of Rijswijk is being transformed into a vibrant mix of living, working, and leisure. Harbour Park was designed to support this transition with a plan that bridges past and future.

An ensemble of 300 apartments and commercial spaces, carefully integrated into the historic context. Part of the existing factory structure has been preserved and combined with new building volumes arranged around a green rooftop garden.

Through the smart positioning of the volumes, attractive public spaces and sightlines toward the harbor are created. The existing concrete structure has been wrapped in transparent glass, while the new buildings respond to the scale of the surrounding area. Sustainability and social interaction are at the heart of the design
