A spacious, open workshop dedicated to craftsmanship

Qumey, Maarssen
What made this project unique was the co-creation approach, in which Qumey took on the role of both client and supplier. As a family-owned business, they actively contributed to the design and were also responsible for delivering the steel structure of the new building. Even during the construction phase, co-creation and transparency remained key to addressing challenges such as rising material costs.
The integrated design resulted in a meaningful environment that empowers our client to perform with impact. This is reflected in the robust, industrial look and feel of the office interior, which was inspired by the craft of steelwork that has been rooted in this location for over fifty years.

A spacious, open workshop dedicated to craftsmanship

The refined façade detailing, in combination with the steel canopy, lends the building a distinctive and contextually relevant identity.

The clean, industrial design of the interior, in combination with various secluded zones, ensures a highly effective workplace.

Qumey’s new building is completely gas-free and equipped with solar panels and heat pumps.
We believe the best work comes from a combination of dedication, craftsmanship, and enjoyment. Let’s collaborate!
