State-of-the-art e-commerce distribution center for Ahold Delhaize

The so-called Home Shopping Center (HSC) has been realized at the Prisma business park in Bleiswijk and comprises approximately 20,000 m² of warehouse space, around 2,250 m² of office space, and a parking area of about 30,000 m² for cars and delivery vans. The building is located right next to the HelloFresh distribution center, designed in 2018 by our studio.

The e-commerce distribution center is centrally located in the Randstad, with direct access to several major highways such as the A4, A12, A13, and A20. With the new Lansingerland-Zoetermeer public transport hub, Prisma business park will become the most accessible business park in the Netherlands. In addition to Ahold, other companies located in Prisma include Aldi, Dirk van den Broek, HelloFresh, and Hoogvliet, making the park a strong food-oriented cluster.

The total gross floor area of 22,171 m² is divided into 19,923 m² of warehouse space and 2,248 m² of office space. The e-commerce distribution center is being built on a plot of approximately 5.2 hectares. The site provides parking facilities for both cars and delivery vans, essential for the logistics operation. In total, there are 418 car parking spaces and 151 delivery van spaces. To ensure safe passage for employees between the parking areas and the distribution center, a pedestrian bridge will be constructed.

In terms of sustainability, the entire roof will be fitted with solar panels, and energy-efficient installations will be applied. The building will be certified with a BREEAM* VERY GOOD label.
